Despite all of the current upheavals and uncertainty in the forestry sector we should not lose sight of the dedication and commitment of people within the industry who have quietly and competently gone about their business in a manner that has upheld the high standards of forest practices for which Tasmania can be proud. 

Do you work with someone who serves special recognition? If so, why not nominate them for a Forest Practices Award? The nomination process is easy (see Forest Practices News, April 2011). 

FPA have already received some excellent nominations and there’s still time for you to nominate someone working in the forest practices system who deserves special recognition for their contribution to achieving excellence. 

FPA would particularly like to see some contractors and landowners being nominated, so if you know someone who takes pride in achieving high standards of forest practices please send in a nomination.
